National News - Opinion Editorial
We need to decide what we believe about
ourselves, and what type of person we want to be. Look in a mirror and think
about it, ask yourself the following, then decide.
America is founded upon the simple
principle, that we each have the right to do and be anything we want to be as
long as it does not infringe on someone else's right to the same. We set
boundaries to show us the limits of our reach, where our rights end and the
rights of others begin. We called those limiting boundaries laws.
Do you believe that the federal government's
prime responsibility is the defense of the nation against all enemies foreign
and domestic? As American citizens, do we not share that responsibility?
Do you believe in government limited as
specifically stated in the constitution?
Do you believe in a small unobtrusive
government?
Do you believe in freedom of the press and
the freedom to speak you mind?
Do you believe in the freedom to worship as
you please, without inference from government at any level? The only separation
of 'church and state' in the constitution is a restriction of the congress's
authority to make laws interfering with the free exercise of religion or to
establish a government religion as had be done in England. The rest is myth,
imposed, and enforced unlawful by the courts. Such powers were constitutional to
congress alone and the courts have no constitutional authority to make laws.
Do you believe that you should be able to
pray whenever and where ever you please?
Do you believe that you have a
constitutionally guaranteed right to own and carry a weapon (to own and bear)?
Do you believe that you have the right to
take another's life with just and lawful cause in war, or to defend yourself,
your family or friends when their eminent grievous injury or death would likely
occur if you fail to act? Could state executions be based upon the same
justifications?
Do you believe that you have a right to own
and possess land and the government has no right to take it for public purposes
(schools or roads) without just compensation but not at all for their self-
defined purpose to give it to some developer just to increase government tax
revenues?
Do you believe an official swore to enforce
the law he should do his honest best to perform his duty?
Do you believe that government officials
should be removed from office for misconduct and malfeasance or when they simple
refuse to carry out the duties imposed by the laws, they swore to uphold, such
as judges, prosecutors or even presidents?
Do you believe that when government
officials use taxpayer money to do favors for their friends, it constitutes
theft and malfeasance? Would you consider it a major felony theft for an
individual or group to steal secret national documents? How about receiving and
publishing such documents? What if someone stole to deed to your house or even
your will, would that be theft?
Do you believe that life begins at the nexus
of conception?
Be a Democrat, Republican, or what you want
to be but try to base it on what you believe, not on the myth and propaganda
